A global OBD Clinical Registry of Certified Examiners has been established to ensure the integrity and
standard of the documentation. Prescreening and verification of credentials, degrees, confirmation of
good standing with the respective mandatory professional association and experience in interviewing
skills and accredited hours will apply. Acceptance to the OBD Clinical Registry may be limited.
Successful applicants will have a minimum of a Masters degree in the area of Medicine, Nursing, Psychology,
Social Work and be directly affiliated with an existing FASD Diagnostic Clinic and/or Diagnostic Physician.
Extensive training in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and related
conditions and comprehensive instruction in utilization of the instrument and translation of text summaries
are provided and are mandatory for application of the OBD Triage Assessment Model.
Clinician's of OBD Clinical Registry status may chose to integrate the OBD Triage Assessment Model
into a specialized practice in one or several areas of assessment or supplement existing clinical skills
and credentials. Annual examination of accredited hours, supervision of skills and review of current
information will be compulsory to maintain OBD Clinical Registry status. |
